Emma Louise Van Cantfort-Carpenter was born on Tuesday, October 9, 2007. Mother and child are doing fine. So is the proud father, Tracy Carpenter.

Well, the Van Cantfort-Carpenter wedding went, hitches and all! The professional pictures will be available on-line in the next two weeks or so. It was good to have the family together.


Hills and Dales Estate, in La Grange, was wonderful. Guests took advantage of the sights in the greater Pine Mountain and Atlanta areas. Tracy and I had a personal concert from some wonderful country artists, including Randy Howard (in the GA Music Hall of Fame) and an up-and-coming musician, Matt Bowlin. Be on the lookout for this fella. The musicians were incredibly generous and we all had a great time.

I don't have much time to post this morning as Tracy, my fiancee, and I are recovering from a small kitchen fire on Friday. I wanted to get some info up on the blog. I think this is great!

I guess the winter weather may have affected my sense of judgment. Over the past 10 days I agreed to serve as the President of our Home Owners Association and accepted an appointment by the Habersham County Commissioners to serve on the County Planning Commission. I now know what I will be doing with my "free" time in the coming weeks and months of 2007.

January notes

A new year has started and it finds us expecting a wedding in 2007. Kate Van Cantfort became engaged to be married to Tracy Carpenter of Hutchinson, Kansas. An official date has not been set, but it appears that an October wedding is possible.
