Tara, Dale, Kate, Maggie, Emma, and Tracy spent 8 days this summer in the Pacific Northwest. We spent two days in Seattle, one day in Victoria and 5 days in the Port Angeles/Olympic National Park area. The good news is that everyone survived and for the most part we had fun!?!
This past spring we "lost" two of our dogs; Musa, the Great Dane, became ill, lost 25 pounds and eventually had to be put down while Fancy, the 14 year old little lady, went both blind and deaf and we finally had to put her down too.
In June we got a new puppy! An 8 week old Great Dane named Lucas. At the same time we found homes for the two strays we found. so as of July we just have Lucas and Maggie's old Lab, George.
Dale is set to start a new school year at Piedmont College and Tara will once again be at the local elementary school. Hope everyone is having a great summer with plans for an even better fall!!

Hello,
I live in Cleveland, Ohio and I have in my possession boxes of letters, report cards, canceled checks, newspaper clippings, books etc. dating from the early 1900's through at least 1930 (I haven't had a chance to look through everything yet). My parents purchased a large amount of items years ago from a house in Cleveland Heights that burned down and we look through it every few years to see what's there and check the value. The family that owned the house was named Van Cantfort...a few names I've come across are Donald, Daisy, Victor V. Jr., Aurthur V. and August R. Some letters are printed on The Van Cantfort Co. Real Estate letterhead. I decided to Google the name and came across your Blog. I have an antique dealer coming to my home tonight to look at a variety of items and was planning to show him the box from the home in Cleveland Heights. If you read this and are indeed somehow related to these people please feel free to contact me...maybe you would be interested in seeing, hearing or reading the correspondence?? You can email me at lovejodie@aol.com or call me at 440-668-7499.
All the Best,
Jodie
