It has been years!

No one has posted in years to this blog so it is past time for an update. Uncle Rollin and Aunt Lyn have both passed away. His brother, my father, August celebrated his 85 birthday this summer by having some 25 family members vacation with him in a huge home at Virginia Beach for a full week. We had such fun!! Our daughter, Kate, got married this summer (for the second time). She married a fine young man, Jonathan Zimmerman of Sterling, Kansas. Our younger daughter, Maggie, traveled the world for nearly a year and then came home to live while she earned her Masters in Teaching ( Dec. 2014). She is still living a home as she serves as the Farm-to-school coordinator for N.E. Georgia. Tara retired from the local school system several years ago and is enjoying her retirement. I am still the chair of the Mass Comm. department at Piedmont College. This is an open invitation to any and all Van Cantforts to come visit the North Ga. mountains and spend a few days with us.
